Made of lead-free aluminium alloy the PCR Cooler „Gold“ enables efficient cooling of PCR tubes, strips or one non-skirted 96-well PCR plate on ice. In addition, the cooling block offers space for six 1.5 mL tubes to cool e.g. the master mix, primers, enzymes and buffers.Compared to plastic cooling racks the PCR cooler „Gold“ offers a much better temperature transfer, a nearly equal temperature distribution in all positions and, due to the open bottom, easier cleaning and decontamination. In addition, unlike liquid-filled plastic racks, the PCR Cooler can be autoclaved at 121 °C and is also much more durable.
